I asked over on Instagram @iselinmork if you wanted to see my new years rituals...
Those who answered said yes so, here I go:
Choose a word of the year.
It dictates your vibe and drive.
I know it's hard to pick just one, but do it!
It helps your mind focus and brings clarity to what we want to create in our lives.
Struggling to pick a word?
These articles provide useful inspiration:
It isn’t about crossing another goal off your list, it’s about creating a mantra to help guide your daily actions and become a better version of yourself.
Write a letter to yourself to open on the next new years eve!
Write it as if you are stating out the things that happened in 2020.
Eg. As I look back on 2020 I'm so appreciative for taking time for myself every morning, by meditating for 10 min.
I've been practicing yoga consistently and my body feels so good.
I like to be specific focused on how I want to be feeling.
If you know any thing about manifesting you have to feel it before it happens. Get into the feeling of it! Your mind doesn't actually know if its real or not. It's all the same to the brain. This year I shared this tradition with the people I was celebrating with. I can't wait to read my letter in a year! Try it too, so we can share what came true ;)
Creating a Vision board is also a favorite of mine. Be careful what you put on there, it very well might come true!
Never heard of a vision board? A vision board is a powerful tool that helps you narrow down your desires through the power of choice. It helps you invest the time and energy to visualize your future and consistently reminds you of your life goals. It's creating your life by design. The purpose of your vision board is to bring everything on it to life. First, think about what your goals are in the following areas: relationships, career and finances, home, travel, personal growth (including spirituality, social life, education) and health. Then choose images that illustrates what you want, or what you more of. Words that motivates you. Picture that remind you of your goals and that sparks excitement! Trick is to put it somewhere you can see it every day. Reminding you like a map of where you are headed. I used to make them with magazine clippings, but have since turned digital. I use
into the collage. Easy peasy! Maybe consider putting the image as your screensaver on your phone or on your desktop?
Also we must not forget about the fact that our surroundings are our biggest vision board. These are the things our eyes rest on the most.
So what subconscious messages do they emit? New years is a perfect time to clear out things & clothes you no longer use.
I also like to do a year in review to close the year off.
Find your journal or some paper to write on.
I ask my self the following questions:
What happened in 2019 that deserves to be celebrated?
What did you accomplish? What dreams came true?
List all the things you achieved in 2019.
Is there anything you need to get off your chest to feel complete with 2019. Let it all out in your journal or on a piece of paper
How did your friendships feel?
How did your soul feel in 2019?
How did your heart feel?
How did your career feel?
Choose one word that represents the year as a whole.
If your life was a book and 2019 was a chapter, what would that chapter be called?
How did your body feel in 2019?
What worked in 2019 that you want to continue doing?
What didn't work that you want to stop doing?
What's the biggest lesson you learned in 2019?
What fell away in 2019? What's rising for you in 2019?
What difficult things happened that you survived?
What did they teach you about yourself?
What was the best moment of 2019?
What are you most grateful for in 2019?
What new seeds were planted in 2019, that are getting ready to bloom?
What are you most looking forward to in 2020?
